The first Paddington was one
of those rarities; a film that caters for absolutely everyone and every single
member of the
audience, no matter their
age, sex or creed, left the screening with a great big stupid grin on their face and it was a joy to behold.
What makes those other two characters entertaining is their stasis — the fact that there is little room for them for change (The
aging magician's reversion to his enjoyment
of the craft doesn't completely alter his personality; when he's back on stage, he opens his part
of the act by insulting an
audience member's fashion decisions).
Propelled by an upbeat, big - hearted energy and saturated with witty,
age - defying sight gags, this is one film that promises to entertain every
member of the
audience.
