Participants consumed more calories than needed to maintain weight when food was
available ad libitum and 24 - h food intake was ∼ 6 % greater during the 5 - h than 9 - h condition (P < 0.05; Fig. 2C).
Mice were raised on a 12 - h light / dark cycle, with food and water
available ad libitum and were housed in groups of two to three per cage.
