After weighing our options, we determined that codifying these currently
available special enrollment periods is in the best interest of consumers and other Exchange stakeholders.

available basis, and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, sex, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, ancestry, athletic performance,
special need, proficiency in the English language or academic achievement; (xv) a student recruitment and retention plan, including deliberate, specific strategies the school will use to ensure the provision of equal educational opportunity as stated in clause (xiv) and to attract, enroll and retain a student population that, when compared to students in similar grades in schools from which the charter school is expected to enroll students, contains a comparable academic and demographic profile; and (xvi) plans for disseminating successes and innovations of the charter school to other non-charter public schools.

enrollment, International Baccalaureate, early admissions, and credit by examination or demonstration of competency.
In investigating the information
available to parents,
enrollment patterns, and cases of attrition of
special education students, the current shortcomings of New Orleans» public schools in providing an equitable school choice experience to
special education students and their families emerge.
Note that in early 2016, HHS eliminated some little - used

available to those who are eligible for them and equally committed to avoiding any potential misuse or abuse of
special enrollment periods.
State - based exchanges have some flexibility in terms of some
special enrollment periods, although CMS indicated that the
special enrollment period for people whose plans are discontinued at year - end is
available in every state, including state - based exchanges, regardless of whether the exchange mapped those enrollees to plans from different insurers or not.
Commenters appreciated the transparency of adding these
special enrollment periods to regulation, so that consumers, regardless of the State in which they live, have access to the same
special enrollment periods, and that all individuals involved in
enrollment assistance have a better understanding of the

available if you lose existing qualified coverage through an employer, by moving to a different area, from a divorce, having a baby, and several other scenarios.
SHOP
special enrollment periods would continue to be
available to enrollees who experience specified qualifying events.
