clubs does not necessarily mean they would have failed if we had pulled out our fingers and hot them back then, Balotelli aside I strongly believe all of these players could have made a difference playing infront of our midfield and given the kind of attention and care Wenger gives Giroud and Walcott, adapting our play to suit them and giving them chances after chances even when its blatantly obvious they are
average players so please lets not keep using that as an excuse for Wenger's ultra careful attitude
in the transfer market, they could have failed with us, or they could have been massive for us, all speculations.

@john0711 I was asking of players worse than Giroud for Arsenal
in terms of finishing.I consisered finishing only.Out of your list when all are
in form you can argue that Walcott is better. But
in terms of finishing he's the worst of that lot.Only Gervinho's finishing is worse. The guy doesn't deserve this
club and so does many of our current players.Face reality he's odinary and if you were a manager and wanted success would you put
in a # 30 bid for Giroud?Yet his stats suggest he may be worth # 30 showing the contradiction between stats and real life. The earlier we get some
average players out of our
club and stop defending the indefensible the better for us all. With this kind of mentality success will be far from this
club.

I've always maintained my stance that Arsene Wenger loves French players
in his team than any other players. No matter how
average you are once you're French and once you're
in the first team he tends to give you so many chances to prove yourself.I can start mentioning them if you want me to but I know you know them.If Lucas Perez was French he wouldn't have been out so early believe me.I just don't know where to begin. Was Giroud bought to become a super sub or to be the leading striker?Having giving us many sesons of failure people are now content with him being a so called super sub.A player like Giroud is not built for that kind of role.He ws a super sub
in 99 % of those matches because he was not played when he was supposed to and we needed presence
in the air.The funny thing is people are using only this season to label him as a super sub. There were so many matched that Wenger should have started Giroud but for some reason didn't start him.I only see Arsenal as the top
club who'd be crying over Giroud. If a good offer comes we should sell.

For that kind of money you'll be getting far more talented players. If you watch a lot of football you'll know this.He has age mates that are better than him but their not yet being talked about because some are
in average teams and others are yet to be given a proper stage. Also, Monaco never wanted to sell Mbappe and Lemar this season. If Arsenal were interested
in any other players we would have gotten them long ago. They might have even demanded more than # 80 if many
clubs were interested and honestly speaking can you blame them?Is he the only talented winger that Arsenal are looking at?We have to spend money wisely and this ain't wise business.

Spot on bro... the problem with most of us Arsenal fans is that we've been made to accept
average as our only option after been promised by Gazidis and other members of the board that we will compete with top European
clubs... i feel some players need to be allowed to go
in order for better ones who are ambitious and hungry for titles to come
in... and someone made mention of Giroud saving Arsenal
in a few games like the countless chances he's missed that could have put the
club in better positions could be equated right... he should have done that against Watford, west brom and the rest... truth be told..
I'm with you there mate. He's an
average player and has failed massively.People are also using stats to defend him as if we haven't watched him.I hope they also look at those stats season by season since he came.Look at how as a
club we've compromised.He shouldn't have been here
in the first place. If he wasn't French he'd have been sold long ago.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... @Namo If after being
in the reins for more than 20 years
in a top
club, all Wenger could name are less than 10 signings who turned out above
average, that doesn't sound like a great record... for me... Ferguson could name a household of such names.
The deadwood???... as if they bought themselves and gave themselves chances on the pitch to proof how deadwood they are... interestingly arsenal is i can say the only top 10
club in Europe that has been having until maybe last season, more than half of the squad as deadwood players and then one if most two players that may be considered WC and the rest
average... now i had my hopes up when we bought sanchez last season but arrrrkh, pee peee here comes welbeck (man utd's deadwood)..
He is an unbelievably
average footballer on the level if players like Stuart downing anf should be playing
in equivalent
clubs... Not surprised allardyce picked him for England as he is a less than
average football manager... The sooner we embed Perez
in the first 11 the better our chances of moving ahead...
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player
in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than
in North London, but the
club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing
in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought
in from the get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below
average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this
club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our
average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those
in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
A batting
average doesn't always indicate the real value of a ballplayer to his team, nor do the figures given
in official league statistics always show the reasons why this
club or that finished where it did.
There's so much wrong with Arsenal if we were given chances to write about them it would take a year. What kind of mentality is this.Forgive me for the way I come out but what has to be said has to be said and the truth hurts.I do nt know if you guys are happy with what's going on but am not.We live
in a world where those who speak the truth are hated very much and a world full of incomprehensible things. Its just sad.Things have to change from this year especially the mentality of this
club.I just wan na see my
club succeed and its bothering me a lot we just can not seem to do what is right. It's time
average players are taken out of the
club and what I mean by that is players who do nt want to improve. You already them lot.
I have example to Back my Statement...
In 2003 Real Madrid bought Beckham from Man Utd for 25M which highest transfer amount that time and now if look at the transfer then
average player also cost for 30 to 35M easily... So it very difficult to know how much we have earned from every year making Champions League but yes certainly we must have earned lot because we were 500M debt ridden
club when we moved to Emirates Stadium and now we are debt free entity so there is good possibility that we have earn lot from Champions League qualifications and also from Highbury real estate projects as well....
life is all about gambles, you win some you lose some, we have taken a gamble on the likes of Walcott, Gibbs and its not paid off so lets cut our losses and move them on, if they go to another
club and realise their so called potentials so be it, we can not keep giving them chances
in the hope they will come good when all indications shows they are just
average players who won the lottery with Arsenal....
@Jimbeam that story was not credible.Ut was made up.Also your questions have are not even
in line with what am saying. You are asling this and that and bla bla bla.It was needless.Everybody who is here wants Arsenal to achieve success regardless of whether we have
average players or not because that's what we as fans do.The thing I was trying to say is that the same people who here who are nagging and crying are the same people who claimed to have lowered their expectations for the transfer window. So why all this talk.Listen I'll even want Arsenal to even have a world class eleven and when we don't win the cup with that world class eleven i wonder who'll be blamed after that. The critical thinkers here will tell you the main thing worrying this
club is not even about the players. It's all summed up
in one word known as philosophy.
Just saw the top 20
club wage bills
in Europe, Arsenal's wage bill is $ 240 mil while Bayern Munich's is $ 227.3 mil this shows we have money lots of it and pay big wages to
average players like Walcott, Wilshere, Giroud etc while Bayern pay big wages to world class players like Robben, Neuer, Boateng, Lewandowski!
In the 1990s, Fynn found that Premier League soccer
clubs averaged less revenue than each of Tesco's 20 largest stores.
Debeuchy and Mustafi are bang
average players who cost this
club around # 47m They are examples of incompetence
in the transfer market as they have virtually no sell on value and contribute precious little to the team when they do play.
We do pay a lot
in wages for
average quality yet a lot of that is running low on contract, maybe the
club isn't offering so many contracts as they wish to get rid of some of them, we all know Arsenal as a
club are not great at getting the right transfers done and that also includes selling.
Well to a point they are right, maybe we are luckier than your
average PL
club, but then we are NOT your
average PL
club, we are charged the highest ticket prices of any
club in the EPL for starter's and we are now apparently debt free and according to certain sources inside the
clubs Hierarchy can buy any player we want,
in short we are financially as big as any of our competition with regards to the ability to buy
in top quality talent, and while we don't have the money to burn that Man city or Chelsea have we are
in a position to spend more and spend it more often as long as there is a degree of prudence.
