average temperature given a forcing without doing a whole model
run for that.
It might be nice, though, if NOAA would post each day an explicit
running average temperature (for each city and year) and the corresponding 30 year
average value.
The best
average temperature for the ecosystem earth is the present one, but in the long
run it only matters to humans if it is also a stable, sustainable,
temperature.
