In the megachurch we had cell groups... good idea, but the cell leaders weren't trained enough...
the average size churches were able to keep communications open through classes or small gatherings... only problem is that it was the same 20 - 50 people showing up... the small groups encourage dialogue.
I've been involved in a megachurch, served in a few
average size churches (50 - 3000), and directed a couple of small groups (10 - 25).
Sorry for the rant, but that bugs me way more than what individual
average size churches do.

The idea occured to me, when reading about yet another congregation fighting city hall, because they were required to purchase acerage that bore no relationship to either the congregation's current
church size, or even the
average size congregation.
The 2016 Mission Statistics also show the

sized Church of England congregation typically attracts nine children to each service.
And let's be real, with the
average size of the typical evangelical
church hovering at around 90 souls, the pickin's are generally slim at best.
