Through the risks and negative effects I've outlined above, I want to make it clear that you are better off
avoiding soybean oil and other vegetable oils for cooking, as well as totally eliminating processed foods from your diet.

To help you to do this,

Corn oil is also mostly made up of highly unstable polyunsaturated fats, and due to the high heat processing (and also the use of toxic solvents in corn oil processing), this makes corn oil particularly inflammatory inside your body — similar to the inflammatory nature of

avoided.

soybean miso, I would for sure get organic to

Also, vegetable and grain / legume oils like corn,

avoided as they go rancid quickly, and can cause problems with fatty acid balance.
Avoid consumption of highly processed Omega 6 based oils including
soybean, corn oil, and safflower oil.
While typical soy sauce is made from fermenting
soybeans AND wheat, tamari is usually made from fermented soy alone so it's a good option if you're
avoiding gluten.
Just make sure to
avoid refined vegetable oils like
soybean oil, corn oil and others, because these are very unhealthy when consumed in excess.
I certainly agree with you that you should be very careful about your choice of soy product as 90 % of the
soybeans produced in the United States of America are genetically modified and should in my personal opinion be
avoided.
GMO
soybeans in human food is likely to be in highly processed foods (maybe a fake meat), something you would want to
avoid anyway.
To minimize consumption of GMO soy,
avoid factory - farmed animal products and processed foods containing
soybean oil, and look for tofu and other soy products that are labeled organic or nonGMO.
If you have an underactive thyroid,

For the same reason that I
avoid processed ingredients like high fructose corn syrup,
soybean oil, canola oil, modified food starch, MSG, dextrose, carrageenan, soy lecithin, artificial colors, etc., I don't want to put things ON my body that might harm me in the long run.
In order to balance this out better, you need to
AVOID corn oils,
soybean oils, cottonseed oils (or anything cooked in these oils), and minimize grain - fed meats and farmed fish that were fed grains.
i.e.,
avoid those that contain sunflower,
soybean, canola and rice bran oil.
If you want to
avoid the health - damaging effects of
soybean, canola, corn and other «vegetable oils», make sure to
avoid them as much as you can, and instead opt for truly healthy oils and fats such as extra-virgin olive oil, avocado oil, virgin coconut oil (a healthy source of MCT fats), and grass - fed butter (a great source of healthy CLA fats).
The best way to do that is to
avoid seed - and vegetable oils like
soybean and corn oils, as well as the processed foods that contain them.
