awe of life and all that life is.
I'm seriously in
awe of the life you lead and extremely jealous to boot.

I mention, only because my... paradigm (I'm not much on beliefs, in the usual organized religion sense)... includes a «Divine» of my own definition, that equates to something like «

Funny how star gazing gives one
awe and a sense
of eternity and in my case it removes the hope
of heaven... i.e. there is no heaven, just space with gazeous substance... a place where it is childish and absurd to think we are going when we die... Our solar system / galaxy seem empty
of organic
life altogether... actually inorganic seems to be the norm... so my faith struggle
of the week is how can I possibly believe in after
life... when reality shows me decomposition
of all that we are, scientific observation does not allow room for a «spirit body» to rise and go in some nebulae... So why do I still need to believe despite this raw evidence... I drive me crazy sometimes...
So as we realize this over and over during our
lives, we can start realizing that there is no reason to jump to the old untrue conclusions that what goes bump in our closet is a ghost any more than when we have a feeling
of awe, love or connectedness that it has to be a god communicating with us.
Human
life has evolved to a stage
of development that enables the human being to commune with the source
of life, to stand in
awe of it, to feel both alienated or out
of touch with it, and in communion with it, and that is worship.
The Phoenix had truly come forth not just as a powerful new
life, but also as the numinosum which would allow them to once again experience the
awe and reverence
of the sacred — not a sacred which was foreign and opposed to them, but one which ultimately legitimized them in their innermost being — both collectively as a people and individually as persons.
