When I started preparing
baby food veggies I read that some of the
vitamins will be
lost in the boiling.
This is due to the high levels of lactose and
vitamin C in human milk, which aid in the absorption of iron, and 3) breastfed
babies do not
lose iron through their bowels as do formula - fed infants, whose intestines develop fissures from damage caused by cow's milk.
You probably need your prenatal
vitamins more post-partum than you do during pregnancy to replace all the
vitamins and minerals you
lost with the
baby and everything else.
I took this to mean that I was having some progesterone issues (and had possibly
lost a
baby), so I started taking the
vitamin C you mentioned in the course.
Baby will take what he needs so to avoid
losing your own stores of nutrients, you have to get enough
vitamins and minerals for both of you.
