It helps to encourage a bit of socialising — perhaps not cocktail parties yet, but playdates and
baby groups get them used to meeting new people.

groups have separate calendars and events, but still frequently
get together for outdoor and public place activities, where 30 moms and
babies can roam comfortably!
Often after the
group, people would stick around and we would go
get coffee or take all the
babies for a picnic in the Public Garden.
There may be a play
group where you can meet other Moms and your
baby will
get the stimulation of other
babies and children.
AMC offers prenatal classes, a
baby and mom exercise class for brand new mamas, and Fit & Fab Small
Group Training for women who desire camaraderie and motivation to
get your body back after
baby.
As your
baby gets older, you can consider taking her to
group activities such as music classes.
Baby rhyme time at the local toddler
group may not sound too exciting but it's a great way of
getting out of the house and may lead to lifetime friendships.
Then I remembered it doesn't matter, I
get that you're not attacking me personally, and that maybe in general the
baby wearing, co-sleeping
group may seem extreme but for some people it simply fits....

my top tip would be to
get to your local support
groups before
baby arrives, meet the breastfeeding supporters and local breastfeeding mums.
A lot of these mommy
groups meet up without their
babies sometimes just to
get out and socialize independently.
Many towns also have local breastfeeding cafes and support
groups where you can go along with your
baby, chat to other mums and
get advice from a breastfeeding expert.
One of the coolest things Rachael told me (back when we were in a mothers»
group together when our 8 - year - olds were
babies) is that the way humans develop as
babies is the reverse of what happens when we
get old.

babies and discuss parenting and life.
It can take longer to
get into a routine that allows you to attend regular
baby groups or classes, and when they're older it's more expensive to pay for activities.
