One of my favorite tricks for helping
babies love tummy time is to get them tummy - down
on an
exercise ball, which allows you to adjust how «flat» they are and then make it easier or harder.
Breastfeed in the bath with your
baby or bounce
on an
exercise ball while feeding them.

on his tummy or doesn't weight shift yet during tummy time, try putting him

If you have a medium to large
exercise ball (or even just a large playground
ball), you can put your
baby on it to do tummy time!
Schwartz suggests that dad sing songs, hum to
baby, dance (
on a side note, my husband has a very funny dance he developed just for our
baby's fussy days), listen to calming music, or bouncing with her
on the above - mentioned
exercise ball.
In addition to bouncing
on the
ball, other bouncy
exercise can help coax
baby deeper into the pelvis.
When cold or dreary weather puts a pause
on our outdoor plans, the
baby pool becomes the spot for climbing, jumping, rolling, wrestling, bouncing
on an
exercise ball and more!
Im in that same situation... My 3 month old
baby has to be bounced to sleep
on the
exercise ball... while swaddled... then put to sleep in her swing.
She cried a lot as a tiny
baby and after a few weeks I started using an

on while holding her and it had an almost miraculous affect to the point where we would use it to calm her for any day to day tears as well as to get to sleep.
