This is one of the best baby food makers as it is durable, compact, fast, portable and easy to use, clean and store and it makes
baby purees of excellent quality.
Instead of giving
your baby a puree of broccoli and pork chop you would give them a sufficiently cooked broccoli stem and a chunk of pork chop for them to hold and gnaw on.

of the passion fruit and oh man what a treat!!
I find most disturbingly sweet, reminiscent
of pureed squash
baby food, and not at all appealing, but this one sounds fantastic.
In a blender add the chopped tomatillos, poblanos, serranos, onion, garlic, epazote leaves, parsley leaves, romaine lettuce, power
baby greens, toasted anise seeds, toasted cumin, peppercorns, salt, 1 to 1 1/2 cups
of chicken stock and a drizzle
of extra virgin olive oil, and blend well for about 3 - 4 minutes until
pureed.
I often steer clear
of straight
purees for fear that the end result will resemble
baby food.
You might want to substitute a dollop
of prune
puree (or
baby food) for the yolk, instead.
Next, Asparagus Soup — a creamy
puree of asparagus, peas and
baby spinach, topped with parmesan breadcrumbs, creme fraiche and a swirl

I didn't have applesauce so I just used some
of my son's homemade
baby food (
pureed McIntosh apple), and I was all out
of ground cloves so I just left that spice out, but I still think it turned out great!
So, in my attempt to salvage a botched head
of cauliflower, I combined the
puree with some broth, added more veggies plus white beans, and the
baby food became a creamy, velvety rich vegetable soup.
I took the shortcut and used
baby food prune
puree instead
of making it from scratch and it cut my prep time noticeably.
If your
baby is not used to the taste
of beef and you are making a plain beef
puree, using the juice / liquid from the crock pot may make the flavor too strong.

Serving your
baby a traditional
puree of cucumbers is probably not a good idea.
If your
baby is old enough to be served fruits that do not need to be cooked, take out the appropriate amount
of fruits from the freezer bag,
puree or mash and then store in the fridge for up to 72 hours.
I had some beautiful carrots that I planned on making
baby puree with (which I did — with a kick
of cinnamon — she loves it!)

I'll be taking them to a
baby shower tomorrow along with a pan
of moist brownies made with sweet potato
puree and topped with shredded coconut and pecans.
Pumpkin
puree is used in a variety
of different products: beer, pie,
baby food, soup... even dog food; and with that comes a high demand for this ingredient.
This Coconut Creamed Corn is one
of my favorite
baby food recipes because it works for every stage — it can be

babies without teeth, it can be made into a chunky mash (pictured here) for older

If you notice your
baby isn't eating much and you want to get certain nutrients in (like iron, which
babies really need), I recommend a combination
of both: Feed
baby an iron - rich
puree while he has something to hold and suck on.
Our job is to adapt and help our
babies meet their nutritional needs, whether it's with homemade
purees, soft pieces
of food, or a little bit
of both.

of solid foods, don't be afraid to let him or her mash this and chew on a few little pieces here and there to experience the texture difference between these bites and
pureed foods.

You should start with
pureed food and then move on to mashed food and finally give the
baby finely cut pieces
of finger food.
We've done a fair share
of purees in my kitchen too but so many
babies LOVE to feed themselves.
Once your pediatrician gives you the green light, and your little one is showing signs
of readiness (usually around 6 months) you have lots
of options and strategies for introducing solids, including
baby - led weaning (self - feeding) or
purees.
Intake
of certain fruits such as pears, grapes, apricots and apples helps in easing your
baby's constipation, and these fruits can be served as
purees or chopped.
I typically steer parents away from highly processed,
pureed baby foods and encourage them to simply blend whatever healthy food the family is eating for dinner,
of course not until they reach six months
of age.

of parents are feeding their babes regular old table food as they become ready.
For all three
of our
babies, we did a combination
of soft finger foods and
purees, depending on the day and situation.
We are past
baby food
puree but last fall we mixed a little bit
of cooked kale (chopped really fine in the cuisinart) in with pumpkin... maybe 1 part kale to 3 parts or more pumpkin.
