The best thing you can do after a C -
section is to ensure you get enough rest (for example,
sleep when your
baby sleeps) and don't put too much strain on your stomach.

section thing where they sliced my guts open interfered with that timing)-- # 10 I was referred to the support group but sure as hell didn't go (because I deemed healing at home from my surgery more important than being browbeaten about how I was feeding my
baby).

She was a c -
section baby herself and did not witness my vaginal births (one at the hospital and traumatic and one at home when she was
sleeping).

baby food until much closer to 1 year old than 6 ohtnms, and be prepared for it to be hard and possibly painful at first (think cracked, bleeding nipples and breasts that are so full of milk you think they will explode so also have lanolin and / or nipple cream in the house, and nurse or pump well before you let yourself become engorged and in pain).
