back porch.
We just added a
back porch and painted the
ceiling blue - love it!
In my experience (I was also raised in older homes) wood
ceilings weren't «typical» except maybe of course on
porches, upstairs attic spaces or
back rooms to homes that maybe weren't actual living spaces, but maybe where storage would be or perhaps, like my Grandmother's centennial farmhouse, where her wash tub and such would be.
