Furthering his often aggressive use of text, Geers devotes
the back space of the gallery to a group of seven ultra violet neon sculptures, which spell out the names of The Seven Deadly Sins.
Hosking's show Contemplating Duality, taking up

Particularly within the denser configurations, the parallax produced by moving through the
gallery space created a startlingly visceral effect
of animation, with the individual strands
of yarn appearing to dance
back and forth, continually shifting their position relative to each other and the viewer.
Three metre high paintings with titles such as Overcoming Optimism and
Back on the Worry Beads occupy the main
space of the

back of my mind as I stand in the audience that has turned up to listen to Lucas talk, at the launch
of Sarah Lucas — After 2005, Before 2012, a new catalogue
of her work since 2005, in an improvised
gallery space upstairs from Lucas's London
gallery, Sadie Coles, which has played host to a series
of shows by Lucas for the last 12 months, all but one under the headline title Situation (which is also the name
of the
space).
His new paintings are a long way from the cagey underground - comix - meets - Italian - literature - scholarship sensibility manifested in «Twilit Ensembles,» to which he hearkens

The illumination, the layering
of blacks, and the patterns remind me
of some
of the best prints (usually grey on grey)
of Jasper Johns or the untitled
back - lit sculpture made in 1966 by Bruce Nauman, given to the Museum

space when it was known as the Blum Helman
Gallery).
The exhibition brings together a film, which is installed in the blacked - out
space of the main
gallery at a scale that fills the viewer's optical range, and new lightboxes, which illuminate the small
