Inspired, I picked up my own
bag of chickpea flour this weekend and decided to experiment a bit.
A bag of chickpea flour is a little over a pound and costs around $ 3 - 4.
The bag of chickpea flour I use is 1 pound 6 ounces so it's almost a full bag.
In fact, I kind of like the grittiness, BUT after purchasing
a bag of chickpea flour (for a failed baking experiment and not having any idea of what to do with the leftovers), I made hummus.
I picked up
another bag of chickpea flour, fenugreek greens, roti flatbread for the mr. (wish it had no wheat!)
A couple of months ago I was trying to figure out how to use up
a bag of chickpea flour, and I googled «Chickpea Flatbread».
I habe
a bag of chickpeas waiting to get used up and I kind of crave a hearty, savoury curry / stew bowl, or 2!
Coincidentally the same day I got your cookbook I also purchased Jerusalem and
a bag of chickpeas from Williams Sonoma.
Today, I'm going to show you how to stretch a one pound
bag of chickpeas into three delicious, healthy, meatless meals!

I usually have a stockpile
of canned beans (especially
chickpeas), but now I have discovered that you don't need to soak beans before cooking, I have

bag of ginger juice; 2 pounds Straus European - style butter; plenty
of this green soup - I puree it and make a tart filling; one pack
of three - grain tempeh; a stack
of frozen rye crepes; cooked farro, pound
of green beans; pack
of expired acai juice; 8 Parmesan rinds, and roughly five pounds
of cherries from my sister's tree.
There is a
bag of garbanzo bean flour in my pantry that I bought to make a variation
of falafel (didn't turn out as good as using normal
chickpeas so that's why I still have the
bag!).
These are pretty much my staples and I go through
bags of red lentils,
chickpeas and black beans quite quickly.
from my experience, living in hummus - land (no joke, I'm originally from Jerusalem, Israel, now in Tel Aviv) it is better to find a
bag of frozen pre-cooked
chickpeas, and cook them for an extra 20 - 30 minutes until they are very soft.
To start, you'll need a can
of chickpeas and a
bag of frozen spinach.
I've got most
of the ingredients and a big ol'
bag of bulk dry
chickpeas that seems to be neverending.

of bags of greasy chips.
I always have cans
of garbanzo beans (aka
chickpeas) in my pantry, a jar full
of bulk dried cranberries, and
bags of frozen veggies like edamame.
Aquafaba can be the water you used to boil
bagged pulses (lentils, beans, and peas, like
chickpeas), or it can be the liquid from canned versions
of these foods.
Or you purchased three
