thing to have at Christmas.
It will be a combination of
baking foundations and pantry essentials (with
things like homemade evaporated milk and homemade powdered sugar), and chapters on types of
baked items: cookies and
bars, pastry, breads, fried treats, pasta and dumplings.
The first
thing that hit me when I saw Mark's recipe for No -
Bake Fruit and Cereal
Bars in his new book How to
Bake Everything was that it sounded a lot like Rice Krispies Treats ®, only with fruit and juice instead of the sticky marshmallow sauce for glue.
Almond Joys are one of my all time favorite candies, and I'm always thinking of ways to
bake things that are Almond Joy inspired (I have Almond Joy
bars and Almond Joy macaroons so far).
The only
thing difficult about these no

bars is letting them chill overnight.
The other

Since then, I've been
baking pumpkin
bars and muffins and cookies, eating pumpkin - spice
things, and also spooning pumpkin straight out of the can!
Thing 1 I did wrong: They didn't have parchment paper so I used wax paper, then tenderly filleted that paper off the bottom of the
bars when it melded with the mixture after
baking.
