Pot
pie is a
baked pie recipe, which is filled with loads of veggies and covered with whole - wheat or flaky
pastry.
Since I like whole grain in my
baking recipes, I
baked this pot
pie with whole - wheat
pastry which was similar to a
baked wheat biscuit texture.
And I have made
pastry before so if you love
baking you can make your own
pies.
Brush the
pastry, very lightly, with beaten egg, and then place the
pie onto a lined
baking tray (in case of drips) and
bake for 20 minutes, then turn the oven down to 160C / 320F for a further 15 - 20 mins.
To line your
pie plate, roll out dough on
baking paper or a
pastry cloth dusted with a tiny bit of spelt flour.
However if you don't have a smaller
pie dish, cover the top with either
baking paper weigh the
pastry down with either beans or uncooked rice.
Pastry chefs in fancy restaurants across the country love crumbling

pie crusts.

I love bulk bins for a number of reasons, not just for stocking up on soup ingredients, but also things like, since I
bake so infrequently, I'm the person who buys one cup of
pastry flour at a time, lol, rather than that three - pound bag that will go rancid before my next homemade
pie craving.
My mother would
bake cake and apple
pie and
pastry and bundt cake.
Bake pot
pie until
pastry is beginning to brown and underside is cooked, 23 — 25 minutes.
Many of us crave
baked goods and we end up using heavy amounts of almond flour for the various
pies,
pastries, breads and muffins we make.
Remove the paper and weights, return the
pie shell to the oven, and
bake for another 5 — 10 minutes until the
pastry is golden.
Vanilla Sugar is ideal for
baked goods such as cookies, cakes,
pies and
pastries where it can enhance the vanilla flavor, sprinkled in beverages, such as coffee, cocoas or smoothies, or as a sweet topping to pancakes, fruit or cookies.
Traditional pumpkin
pie recipes use aromatic spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger to give the pumpkin custard a unique flavor before being
