I read this book in the 1990s and loved how she recommended reducing the total sugar in most
baked recipes by a quarter to half!
# 2 - You can use less oil in
a baking recipe by substituting half the oil for apple sauce (and it even makes the recipes more moist!)

Baked Camembert in Filo with Cranberry Chutney, Vermont Country Inn Pumpkin Cheesecake, Canned Cranberry Sauce Bundt Cake, Cranberry Sally Lund or Brioche Americana, and Cranberry Orange Iced Sweet Tea just to name some things that immediately caught my eye and appetite.
Though I was supposed to use the

recipe... the answer is easy, it added to allow the dough to rise.
