Love it so much always got one on the go, simply
bake and slice up and keep in the freezer then defrost and eat warm
with yoghurt and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
The raising agent is the
baking soda, powder and
yoghurt combined
with the milk.
Za'atar is a favourite of Yotam Ottolenghi's; he sprinkles it
with fresh pomegranate on top of
baked aubergine (eggplant) and a dollop of his buttermilk -
yoghurt - garlic sauce.

The
baked nut crumble keeps well in a sealed container in the pantry so if you have any left over it's also really delicious
with yoghurt or sprinkled over any other type of stone fruit.

with a delicious wholewheat granola using my favourite granola brand, Lizi's.
If the icing sounds like one step too many for you though, feel free to leave it off — I assure you this slice tastes just as good un-iced (especially if you keep it on the slightly underdone side of
baked) and eat it fresh out of the oven
with a dollop of coconut
yoghurt.
I often throw my home made
yoghurt into
baked goods if for example I don't have the required amount of applesauce I will top up
with yoghurt, or really anytime I am making up or subbing in a recipe and the texture doesn't seem «quite right».

with all you could want for a hearty breakfast: cereals, home
baked bread, home made jams, quality teas and coffee, locally made
yoghurt, orange juice and, of course our farm fresh eggs — to die for!
And, laid out in the morning, a temptingly delicious array of fruits and cereals,
