Aside from garnering support from a broader swath, if a
law firm offers e.g. special training in marketing to all, and leave policies (not just parental) aimed
at all, and encourages work - life
balance for all (or
at least pays lip service to the concept!)
While I've never thought of my career as a crusade to redress the gender
balance at the top of
law firm management, I do recognise — and value — my role as a role model for future women leaders.
Law firms everywhere are slowly beginning to focus on finding the
balance to keep key people
at every stage of development.
