You can never go wrong with basic but delicious
oatmeal recipes, especially if it includes
bananas and
nuts!
I love
nut butter on cottage cheese,
oatmeal, or
banana!
I add fruit and
nuts to my hot cereal: Blueberries and walnuts to
oatmeal; apples, raisins, and walnuts, plus cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric to steel cut oats; cut up pears and blueberries with walnuts and nutmeg and ginger to brown rice farina / amaranth cereal; and perhaps my favorite, unsweetened shredded coconut, cut up date, walnuts, and half a
banana, plus some coconut oil with brown rice farina / amaranth cereal.
So to my normal Chocolate
Oatmeal I added a
banana, brazil
nut, coconut shreds and cacao nibs.
I love breakfast around here, so try some of my other breakfast recipes, like my baked French toast
oatmeal,
banana nut muffins, customizable breakfast cookies, and fudgy brownie oat cookies (they're breakfast, I promise!).
Now when I make
oatmeal, I just add two teaspoons of this blend and some raisins and then top with chopped
nuts and maybe a
banana and some blueberries, even some pumpkin seeds (pepitas) if I am feeling adventurous.
Grab your bowl, add some of the
oatmeal, top with the hot
banana slices,
nut butter and Homemade chia jam.
1) Pre-heat oven to 200 deg cel (400 deg farenheit) 2) Mix sugar and cooking oil together till the mixture is light and fluffy, and add in ground cinammon 3) Add in egg, mashed
bananas,
oatmeal and
nuts, mixing well 4) Add in self - raising flour to mixture in step 3 and mix well 5) Drop cookie dough by teaspoon onto a greased baking tray, making sure each cookie is 2 inches apart 6) Bake in oven at 200 deg cel for 15 minutes or until cookies are slightly brown 7) Cool for 10 minutes before storing in a closed container
To make your instant
oatmeal, just mash half of a
banana in the bottom of a cereal bowl, stir in a scoop of the
oatmeal mix and some
nut milk, and pop it in the microwave.
When I get enough of simple
oatmeal porridge and want to make it somehow tastier, most of the time, I choose peanut butter,
bananas,
nuts, seeds, syrups or something like that...
