So I thought I'd put my go - to breakfast of almond butter,
banana and dates (which I normally put
on buckwheat
toast) into the blender and see what happened.
However, if you have diabetes / pre-diabetes and you are including
bananas as part of a whole meal then I would just balance them with some healthy fat (avocados, nuts, etc.) You could have a
banana on top of a piece of sprouted whole grain
toast with some almond butter and that would be a good option.
I chose
banana slices, chia seeds, and a hearty dose of my tropical
toasted coconut stovetop granola, but feel free to use whatever you have
on hand — you can't go wrong!
I omitted the flaxseed (diverticulosis) and sliced the

Rich in flavor that reminds me more of almond butter than coconut, slather it
on bananas, add a dollop to a smoothie, dip apples into it, spread some
on toast, grab a spoonful for a quick burst of energy or simply to kill an inevitable bout of hanger (hunger + anger).
I'm most definitely a peanut butter and
banana fan, and I love a coconut butter and avocado
toast, but I also love layering
on vegetables for a nutritious kick.
