You may crave more of your favorite foods or you could start craving bizarre food combinations like
banana slices on toast.
Lay
the banana slices on the parchment paper, allowing the slices space in between so as not to touch each other (if they touch, they become more difficult to puree).
Pour 1/4 cup batter into pan and place 5 — 6
banana slices on top.
Blueberries on Thursday and
banana slices on Friday.
When bubbles start to show, sprinkle each cake with 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds and arrange about 5
banana slices on top, then flip.
Arrange the reserved
banana slices on top.
Place dipped
banana slices on wax paper and place in the freezer until hardened.
Then arrange second layer of
banana slices on it and top with the rest of the mixture.
Once your dry and wet ingredients are all ready, place
the banana slices on the bottom of your prepared baking dish until the bottom is completely covered.

Brush with melted butter then arrange
the banana slices on top the batter and sprinkle with the demerara sugar.

Caramelized bananas: put
the banana slices on a heat resistant surface and sprinkle with a little sugar.
Banana Oatmeal (Yields 5 - 6 cups): 3 cups oats, 3 cups almond milk, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp sugar, half
banana sliced on top.
I made half with
a banana slice on top and half without.
I like mine with blueberries,
a banana sliced on top, a dollop of almond butter and a dash of maple syrup.
Place
another banana slice on top of the peanut butter layer.
Try them with sugarfree syrup, or with the other half
banana sliced on top.
Not exact matches
I like to put a few
slices of
banana, a scattering of blueberries and raisins, and a handful of walnuts
on the top to make it look pretty, but this is totally optional!
Heat a non-stick pan
on a medium heat, then add the
banana slices and fry
on both sides in the dry pan until brown and caramelised.
Slice the
bananas into segments and layer them across a baking dish, sprinkling cinnamon

I admit that my favorite way to eat this caramel flavored spread is from a spoon, but it is also great when poured over ice cream, used as a dip for fruit, spread
on bread or even pancakes, poured over popcorn, used as a flavoring in homemade ice cream or yogurt, as a frosting, to sandwich two cookies together (especially in Alfajores), as a layer in Millionaire's Shortbread Bars, or in a Banoffee Pie (takes a pastry shell and fills it with Dulce de Leche,
sliced bananas, and whipped cream).
Make the waffles, add a big dollop of whipped cream
on top with a few
slices of
banana & some dark chocolate shavings.
Enjoy it
on sliced apples, spoon it onto bite after bite of a
banana, dollop a tablespoon or two into your favorite smoothie to add protein and creaminess, use it to coat baked kale chips, and much more.
I chose
banana slices, chia seeds, and a hearty dose of my tropical toasted coconut stovetop granola, but feel free to use whatever you have
on hand — you can't go wrong!
I omitted the flaxseed (diverticulosis) and
sliced the
bananas for
on top with the toasted pecans.
Thursday: Girl Scout Gumbo (hamburger, vegetable soup, cheese, onion, green pepper, served
on Fritos — I have a gluten and diary free version), Milky Way Salad (Milky way pieces, apples,
bananas, cool whip — We have vanilla coconut - based yogurt with apple
slices and gluten and dairy free chocolate chips), box oven brownies.
With an ample dose of protein and flavor - packed peanut butter, a touch of honey for sweetness, and some
sliced bananas, chia seeds, and honey drizzled
on top, these peanut butter,
banana, and honey steel - cut oats were the healthy but still special weekend breakfast bowl of my dreams.
I can't figure out how you fit 10
sliced bananas on one baking sheet!

On a scale of 1 to Trader Joe's Cornbread (my Dad's FAVORITE breakfast item) this
banana bread came in at a very close second, which is really saying something since there's been times I've flown home with half my suitcase filled with that dang cornbread.
Slice half a
banana on an angle, place
on top of pie leaving a border around the edge, top with half the whipped coconut cream and smooth to cover
slices.
Generously sprinkle sugar
on top of the
banana slices and burn using a blowtorch until caramelized.
I also tried an apple version, with
sliced apples
on the bottom instead of
bananas, and chopped apple pieces throughout.
My favorite way to eat almond butter is slathered
on a brown rice cake and topped with
sliced bananas and cinnamon!
In place of toast with peanut butter and
sliced apples or
bananas on top.
Slice a
banana on top and chomp away!
I took a frozen
banana out of the freezer (we save for smoothies when they get to dark to eat fresh) put a
slice of
banana on each cookie and then baked for 9 minutes (I cooked 1 extra minute in my oven because of the
banana)
I used strawberry Voskos Greek yogurt and added
sliced bananas as a topper along with slightly sweet real whipped cream (when
on vacation we don't count calories — lol!).
