To what extent the last bit makes sense is debatable considering a small sized ultrabook caters for a completely different
segment than a device that is purely
tablet in its execution and functionality while also being entirely dependent on touch
based input even if it offers a bigger display.
An interesting aspect of the
tablet segment in the regions is that it is Android that reigns supreme with almost 2 million of 2.79 million
tablets shipped being Android
based.
Not surprisingly, it is the iPad that has emerged as the dominant
tablet based on website traffic (90.63 percent), while iPhone is leading the smartphone
segment with 62.73 percent traffic.
Of course, these are estimates and are
based on the growth rate the
tablet segment has been experiencing over the years.

But even as the «slate»
tablet market cools from its once red - hot pace, one key growth
segment is detachables, which bodes well for Microsoft and makers of other Windows -
based devices.
IDC projected a 73 percent jump in detachable
tablet sales this year, and said Windows -
based detachables like the Microsoft Surface would garner more than half of this
segment.

Let's put it all together: Millennials make up the second largest legal consumer
