basic animal safety and care.

This program was designed to reach the very young with a message of care and compassion for all living things and to teach

We have qualified play group supervisors trained in
animal behavior and
basic obedience because
safety is always the number 1 priority.
For our companion
animals this means not just meeting their
basic needs for health, nutrition and
safety, but also providing low - stress and predictable social interactions, play, outlets for other natural behaviors, and sensory - stimulating opportunities.
The intention of the program is to walk the youth through
Basic Obedience classes, which (along with instructional training) would include topics about humane treatment of
animals, dog
safety and grooming.
We partner with local youth organizations to offer classes on topics such as
basic pet care,
safety around
animals, the importance of spay / neuter, and
animal related careers.
The children look forward to weekly visits from the therapy
animals and are taught the
basics of pet care and
safety while interacting with them.
