Tees and
cardigans in
basic colors are a must, and every woman really should have an LBD (little black dress, of course).
Basics have a nice role in a wardrobe but looking the same as everybody else, i.e. leggings, jeans, t shirts,
cardigans, black mostly as the only
color, etc...... is really BORING!!
After you have your
basic colors, start add ing some different
colored cardigans to your fall wardrobe.
This outfit is made up of all plain
basic colors — the scarf,
cardigan, sling bag and clogs — the must haves for a chic urbanwear.
As a lot of my outfits this look consists of lots of
basics — a long black
cardigan, a white blouse, grey skinny jeans... To put a twist on the outfit I added burgundy
colored boots, which are amazing as this dark red is THE
color for fall and not just this year!
Here I would suggest using your savings on their
colored corduroy pants, polka dot crewnecks, boyfriend
cardigans — that you can dress up with an infinity scarf, boots and leggings — and other trendy pieces as most of the things I get from Old Navy are
basics and are worn so much they only last about a season.
This outfit pulls from
basic pieces in my wardrobe: a classic dress slack in black from 212 Collection (purchased at Kohl's this winter), an off - white Liz Claiborne tank top (purchased at JC Penneys over a year ago) and a gorgeous berry
colored cardigan from Cross and Barrow (Kohl's last year.)
I also wore this
cardigan last week over a
basic work look to add a little sophisticated
color.
