I happened to have a can of Coco Lopez which is
basically cream of coconut.

basically a solid pack
of coconut cream.
With this one the broccoli shines through and we use
coconut milk, so it's
basically a super yummy, dairy free version
of cream of broccoli soup!
I was wondering if there was an «almond
cream» alternative to
coconut that had no milk, egg, or sugar...
basically if I could get the consistency with almond milk or making almond
cream with just almonds and use that instead
of the
coconut milk or
coconut cream.
A low carb dieter's food generally consists
of meats, cheeses, seafood, poultry, spices, leafy green vegetables, low starch vegetables (
basically anything except potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas), low sugar berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc. — watch the portions), cheese, heavy
cream, olive oil,
coconut oil, butter (only real butter), eggs, pickles, olives, some nuts, some alternative sweeteners (we'll get into that later) and other fats.
They cut some corners here by using pumpkin puree for the pumpkin flavoring, a banana for added flavor and texture, and the ever - present
coconut milk that you should
basically keep a supply
of if you like ice
cream because it's used in just about every Paleo ice
cream recipe worth trying.
Once I've made these two things, I then take out a big pot and put into it about 2 - 3 cups
of tea, 1 - 2 cups
of this
cream and a litre or so
of half - almond milk, half
coconut milk, along with some sugar - free chocolate, cocoa (or cocoa and cacao butter), sweetener, spices (like chai spice), flavorings like vanilla or caramel, salt (I always add a little salt to most sweets, it balances the flavor)...
basically anything you think will be good in a [quote] mocha [/ quote] type drink (I even put small amounts
of maca and other medicinal mushroom powders to up the nutritional value - but just a little, to avoid bitterness).
