One of our family's favorite main dishes is pizza, and there's nothing like
basil pesto on a sourdough pizza crust!
I put a tiny bit of
basil pesto on it in addition to Parmesan, his standby pasta topping.
I am sharing the basic recipe below, but you could also add a couple of sun - dried tomatoes, or drizzle some oil mixed with a teaspoon of
basil pesto on top with a sprinkling of lightly toasted walnuts.
Spread your favorite
basil pesto on two store - bought whole wheat naan breads (I can find these ones by Stonefire at my local supermarket), top with cooked, shredded chicken (use leftovers or rotisserie), canned artichoke hearts, cheese and olives.

basil pesto on the shelves of your local grocery store, be sure to keep this recipe in mind!

on the go could be leftover steak with roasted vegetables and a rocket and
basil pesto, supper might be a buckwheat noodle stir fry or a quinoa risotto.

on how
basil - y or mint - y you want to have your
pesto, adjust the quantities accordingly.

basil last weekend and used it

It's the Shroom Raider ($ 19) consisting of thyme roasted mushrooms, enoki, goats curd,
basil pesto and poached eggs
on thick cut brioche.
Add another 1/4 cup of
basil pesto, stir everything together, and reheat gently
on low - medium heat.
- This
pesto can be used just like conventional
basil pesto and is delicious
on pasta, as a spread for pizza or a sandwich spread, as a dip for veggies or swirled into hummus.
If you don't have fresh
basil, stir some
pesto into the peppers and mushrooms before putting them
on the pizza.
Cheesy Nut Dust and Vegan
Pesto 1/2 cup / 70 g almonds 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 1 large handful
basil 1 large handful spinach 1/3 cup / 80 ml olive oil 2 tbsp lemon juice a few pinches salt 1 small avocado (use half if you have a large and serve the rest
on the side)

So think up a few different ways you could use
pesto (I'll give you a few of my faves later
on in this blog) and give this
basil and pine nuts
pesto a try.
I make my Paleo bread and load it up with any kind of meat — chicken and turkey are my favorite, but it's also great
on roast beef — and slather
on some
basil and pine nuts
pesto to really kick up the flavor of the sandwich.
Pasta with homemade
basil and pecorino

on mung bean noodles, dahl and basmati, haloumi salad wraps, veg green / red curry.......
Chopped
basil (or a few tiny dollops of
pesto would be good in this either
on its own or in addition to the olives and sun - dried tomatoes -LRB-(my preference).
I make a lot of

pesto, a refreshing twist

basil pesto.
Trofie is traditionally used
on the Northern coast of Italy for
pesto (the most classic kind made from
basil and pine nuts).
For me, fresh
basil pesto is right
on the top of the list.
We'd like to add more vegetables in if we can figure out which ones would be good with this lol Oh and the
basil pesto I got from the store here is way darker so my pasta are a lot more dark green than what your pictures show but it's very good anyway =) Thank you for all the recipes
