We're not in a rush to move in right away since it will be easier to remodel the master
bathroom and re-stain the wood floors without our stuff in the
house, but I'm definitely
feeling eager to get in there!
The part that
feels hard to me are all of the other reminders found throughout our
house: opening the cupboard for the first time to do laundry and seeing the baby laundry detergent, or opening the cupboard below the sink in the
bathroom and seeing all of the cute baby towels washed and folded and ready to go.
Help him get used to new
bathrooms by starting with one in which he
feels safe, like the one at his best friend's
house or at Grandma's.
I remember getting my first pair of
bathroom cleaning gloves when I was four — I
felt so responsible and I love cleaning (and more importantly, having a clean
house) to this day!
Use it to give children that little boost they need for reaching items around the
house, or keep it in the
bathroom, so they can
feel independent washing their hands and using the toilet on their own.
So far so good except I am not sure leaving the
house is a good idea since eliminations are quick to come and I
feel like I need to be near a

Vaulted ceilings and ample windows give the bedrooms the same bright, sunny
feel as the rest of the
house, and spa - like

Its layout actually

A
house can't just look right, be in the right neighborhood, or have the right number of bedrooms and
bathrooms — more than anything else, it has to «
feel» right to buyers before they'll make an offer.
Linda and Gerry Berglin's remodeled attic in their Craftsman bungalow
feels like it was always part of the
house, yet it features a luxe
bathroom, 10 - foot ceilings and a closet as big as their kitchen.
I recently wrote about our boy's

In my 16 years of marriage, we've always lived in an old
house, so I know what you mean both ways — it would
feel strange not to have to tackle one of the always - emerging old -
house problems (new

It is teeny tiny, and considering it is the main

A blank slate — Even though this is a unique era and style for us, I
feel like the
house has so much potential to become more our style through the addition of character, curb appeal, design details, furnishings and remodeling the kitchen and

house has only one small
bathroom that has been «updated» about thirty years ago, and I want to give it a much more fresher, vintage
feel.
The mirror we've had in there for the last few years was re-purposed from our old
house, and while it worked well I
felt like the
bathroom was lacking a bit of character.
I love shopping our home — borrowing curtains from the play room, art work from the
bathroom, and recovering down pillow inserts with an inexpensive shower curtain — to make little changes that give our
house a cheerful summertime
feel.

bathroom feels like an outdoor oasis brought indoors.
