wall board tomorrow in part of the playroom redo we are working on.

walls, the ceiling (this was prior to my new ladder, so I painted it perched on a chair) and we started in on the

At the time, we skipped more complicated or messy things like new counters or painting cabinets and instead added a

batten, some fun cheery paint, a DIY faux tin tile backsplash (which by the way you can see is still there and working great for us years later!)

I was feelin'the idea of a textured
wall to break up some of that drywall, so I clad the one on the left in white - painted
board and
batten.
We decided to not use
wall boards this time (just
battens) even though I would really prefer the look of the wood behind the
battens over just seeing the
wall.
I added
board and
batten to the lower part of the
wall and painted it bright white (The Perfect White by Valspar, which is my go - to white).

I don't like the tiles we chose for our kitchen 13 years ago, but we can't afford hardwood right now so I added the

wall and soffit to really brighten up the kitchen.
