battery icons at the top, with the day of the week, date, and time below.
Tap the «On» button to the right of this and you'll instantly see
your battery icon at the top right replaced with the percentage left.
Show the battery percentage: Once you've unlocked the System Tuner UI (as above), you have the option to show the battery percentage in
the battery icon at all times.
Here you can turn off selected icons for activated services (e.g. hotspot or flight mode icons), show a percentage inside
the battery icon at all times or only when charging, and toggle the display of seconds on the clock.

Enabling «Always show percentage» in Android O will keep the
battery percentage visible
at all times in the status bar, but it'll be placed next to the
battery icon, just like in the Quick Settings view.
