is wearing a dress or a skirt (and
sometimes even well tailored,
dressier slacks), there
are exceedingly few vintage outfits where a classic pair of pumps doesn't work like a charm.
My office
is casual too, but I only will wear really
dressy sandals there and even then
sometimes I feel a little too casual.
They
're sometimes too «
dressy» for my office environment and I have very few nice functions to attend.
The bars and restaurants we go to though
are fairly casual so jeans and a
dressier, more luxurious top,
sometimes with a jacket and with boots or heels
are what I always wear.
I
'm not sure what the name of my «style» would
be; I think of it as
dressy, causal and classy and
sometimes I will pop in with a little bit of sexy.
Let's
be honest,
sometimes being comfortable wins over
being overly
dressy, especially when the weather in the South, does not want to corporate with you!
I rarely wear
dressy pants, but
sometimes it
's just necessary to protect my legs from the insane winds.
I agree with your previous posts that heels
are extravagant waste of space / weight in your bag but
sometimes I just want something
dressier.
Sometimes I think blazers can
be a bit too
dressy and structured, and my other drapey jacket
is in a sweatshirt - like material, so this jacket
is the perfect mix.
I like to do the latter
sometimes just to make formal or
dressy outfits more fun and less stiff, but, of course, it depends on the event I
am going to.
I
am a fan of non-distressed bootcut denim and wide leg / palazzo with jackets, shrugs,
dressy tops and kimono myself (the latter I belt
sometimes, depending on what works better with my busy X shape).
But
sometimes, a basic tee isn't quite
dressy enough for the occasion.
Being a girly girl, I naturally gravitate towards
dressy looks... so
sometimes I «forget» to post more casual outfits here on the blog.
Sometimes a casual cardigan just isn't warm enough while a heavy peacoat may feel too
dressy for your outfit, which
is where the puffer jacket comes in.
