Also however, Lacazette is going to
be the main striker because Auba is cup tied.

goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its
because he has always not
been clinical. The only way a team can improve
is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the
main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a
main cf you need to
be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that
because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His style of play
is ok for us but a
striker who can take on players and run behind defences very well would make us very strong and also should
be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of goal too much. For now he
is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always
be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
Add that to the fact's that he
is only looking for a
striker because of Danny Setbeck's longterm injury and that Giroud will
be our
main striker next season, So the answer to this equation
is» Don't expect much» (Start looking for a fourth and fifth choice?)
I even thought top clubs
were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here
were debating why he should
be our
main striker. As soon as you mention any other
strikers name people would come out with stats and many things defending him.Even Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say Wenger
's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that there
's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he
's the reason why Arsene Wenger has failed to sign a top notch
striker because he still believes in him.The funny thing
is we signed Welbeck at that time who to me did nothing before to
be the
main man here.People keep saying Welbeck
is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question
is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck
being signed to challenge Giroud tells me a lot about Giroud
's quality.Even Walcott (no offence to him) who has zero CF qualities
was even chosen over him for a string of games and all in all I think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised as a club and it'll come back to bite us.
Wenger
is the
main problem
because he refused to buy an outfield player when we needed a
striker and dm at any cost.
In my opinion Giroud may well
be the club's
main striker,
because let's face it Alexis
is a converted winger rather than a
striker.
50 - 70 mil
striker might win you crucial games in EPL and CL... If we got that one we won't
be knocked out every time from 16 - round of the CL, we might have taken the chances that we had against Utd and Chelsea... With this type of thinking we lost our title the season before when we
were top of the league and I genuinely believe we lost that to City
because we did not add
striker as a
main reason...
Paradoxically, I believe that the
main cause of our failure to win the League
was not our away performances but rather the failure at home of our
strikers from February through to April — when
because of fatigue, injuries and a collective loss of confidence — the players just weren't strong enough to deal with it.
I couldnt tell if it
was because he
was playing (poorly) as the
main striker and felt he wasnt playing well, or if it
was because he just wants out.
I will welcome Cesc back with two arms, we can't pay him up to 200k weekly, and we can't pay up to # 15mill for him
because his about 30 years of Age, two years younger than Santi, but of cousre, he would add the exact value we need in that Midfield, since Carzola injury, He
's better than Ramsey in my opinion, and he has alot of experiences, he will combine very well with both Xhaka and Ozil, can deliver pass Ozil to open up Attack, and also deliver those long passes to the
Main strikers..
@Goonster, you
are absolutely correct my friend, what we see as the priorities
are not Wengers priorities, we see this season after season with Ozil
being probably the worst case, we all know a
striker and a dm
were more urgently needed. Some will say Wenger knows best but clearly he doesn't
because our progress
is so slow we appear to
be standing still.Sanchez came in did well, but we still finished further away than last year.An Giroud still doesn't have any real competition upfront, im not a believer in Walcott as a
main striker, if we do get a top
striker like a Benzema it will most likely
be a last minute deal after every1 has made their moves
Plus I've heard he'd
be willing to drop his wages to move clubs
because he wants to play as
main striker, which he can't do at PSG.
Patience
is what
is needed but I agree that hard evidence
is needed to label Walcott as our
main striker because I believe both Giroud and Walcott (not to mention Sanchez) bring something different to the table.
We may not have a world class
striker, but as a unit I think our attack
is as good as any other in the league,
because we get goals from all over rather than just a
main striker like Aguero or Costa.
We have ONLY one
main striker and if he
's not in the form that he should
be (
because he
's not the
striker we need to win the PL) then we have no one who can really seek out the oppositions net, The last two games we have
been mediocre at best Im still NOT convinced that Wenger still has the magic he once had despite a massive improvement in form
One of the big stories in the Premier League today
was probably received pretty well by a lot of Arsenal fans,
because with Manchester United coming to play us at the Emirates stadium at the weekend, a three match ban for their
main striker and top scorer Romelu Lukaku would on the face of it weaken United and increase the chances of an Arsenal win.
Giroud shouldn't
be our
main striker but in some game he can start
because of the patern which that club played.
We only signed Welbeck
because we
were left desperate on the last day of the transfer window with Giroud having just
been injured against Everton, leaving us with the prospect of Yaya Sanogo as our
main striker for 3 months.
But we also need to keep him,
because: — He can
be a good competitor for the
main striker.
I hope it
's a
striker because I agree with Thierry, if we stick with Giroud as
main man, we can not win the prem.
This
is because As mentioned, 20 goals on average
is a not a bad score come the end of the season, the problem
is that he
is not good enough to
be the club's
main striker!
Regarding, Giroud, he
is our
main striker last year, and he
was very consistent throughout the year and I expect the same for him this year, and last match he found difficulties to stay on his feet
because of the pitch quality.
The
main reason that I did not think this
striker would become a Gunner this summer, however,
was because I could not see him wanting to leave Real Madrid and his La Liga club seemed to have no reason to want to sell him.
Chelsea's
strikers have struggled for form so far this term, with both Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao finding regular game time difficult to come by, while
main front man Diego Costa confessed that he endured a sluggish start to the season
because he
was overweight after returning from the summer break (via Daily Mail).
Off topic we have Welbeck the
striker that never score and some Arsenal fans still think he
's a good but
because he works hard no he
's a flipping
striker his
main objective
is to score goals, Giroud without having half the pace Welbeck has will always
be a better
striker than Welbeck and the sad thing about buying Welbeck
is that I don't see another
striker coming in until Wenger leaves.
We
are only going to buy one of them,
because another slot
is for
main striker and CB.
It
's like saying the guy who came in for some sub apps and got a few goals
is having a better season than the 25 goal
striker because he has a better per min ratio... I mean surely playing all the time and
being the
main guy and putting in 25 + goal means something, per min ratio aside.
You'd really have to ask yourself if he'd still
be here if he wasn't French.Wenger has every right to sell Giroud. If we
were very ambitious we would've sold him long ago.We
're treating him as if he
's a crucial player.The lesson will only
be learnt when Lacazette goes out with a long term injury. We will then see how good the back ups are.To me he
's not a super sub as he
's the kind of
striker who requires service.Being a super sub
is not enough
because remember he
's the next in line if anything happens to Lacazette.Giroud
was Arsenal
's main striker for a reason.Last season 99 % of the matches he scored coming of the bench
were matches he should have started to give us that aerial presence but Wenger shockingly started Sanchez. It
's a shame fans will blame him next season again for his short comings. The guy
is just not good.It
's not good enough to
be strong in aerial battles alone and weak in almost every other aspect.I expect Arsenal and Arsene to do better. He must
be sold.
Giroud does not deserve to lead the arsenal line next season. He should
be replaced do u know why?It
is because he
is always going to miss a lot of chances and will cost us.people who support him to lead the line have not studied his game clearly.every season he will continue to cost us.But at least i wont say he
is useless or something.He
is on the pitch and gives his all so he
is useful.He
is not clinical and not good at all.He
is a
striker who
is just above average but sometimes even performs below average in his 3 years over here.
Be honest and say it as it
is.Some people use stats to constantly defend him yet if you watch him you will
be shocked.Walcott can lead the line he has everything to.but as i said he lacks the aggressiveness and physique to
be the
main man.that will go against him so many times.so its better for him to remain on the wings.Giroud does not deserve it.We all know that.
Of course he
's going to do well
because he plays for ARSENAL but, the fact
is he
is our worst
main striker for the last 15 years and Benzema will
be an upgrade in every single department in comparison to Giroud
Because by then Arsenal have 4
main front offensive
strikers of Walcott, Giroud, Sanchez and Welbeck who
are our weapons in our armoury.
We could have best used bendtner as second
striker, not the
main one
because he lacks pace and if he had to drop that deep to get the ball, there
was very little chance he could have done anything with it that
is very good.
He couldn't play well with a striking partner mainly
because he
was both the second and the
main striker ending up where the other should
be at times, and when the other
striker adjust by
being where Ade should
be, Guess what?
