And exactly two weeks from today, I will be hopping on a plane to a beach destination for 10 days of rest and relaxation.

I had envisioned an idyllic week of lazy days making sandcastles on the beach and long leisurely walks in the countryside.

From the North Side to the South Side and neighborhoods in between, Shedd Aquarium is partnering with local elected officials during Earth Week to host four, simultaneous Great Lakes Action Days on Saturday, April 21 to pick up litter, like plastic, on local beaches.

We went on day trip to the beach a week after we got it, and it made the long ride a happy one: I felt completely at ease, and my daughter felt like a «big girl:)» Win - win.

We returned from a 10 day beach vacation on Sunday and are leaving for 3 weeks in Sydney on Wednesay.

Though I will always wish I had one more moment on Cottesloe Beach, one more whiskey at Helvetica, or visited our favorite bar in Mt. Lawley for a pint one last time, I think we have done ourselves proud in these final months, weeks, days.

We shot this video two weeks ago and have been dying to get it back because not only does it have some of my most favorite pieces for spring that are all under $ 70, but being on a beach in a perfect day really brought these outfits to life.

By the end of our week in Nicaragua, I felt like I had enough sun, so my boyfriend and I skipped the beach during the day and opted for some chill time on our deck.

Today is my favorite day of the week when I can plan something fun and hope for some sleep over the weekend:) When the weather is bad and we can't do anything outside, I love sketching girls on the beach / relaxing by the pool, it kinda makes me feel that I've just came back from a vacation myself:)

PEAKS / / Starting the week off with three days on the beach was absolutely amazing and most importantly restorative and relaxing.

This is the time of year that I usually start to crank up my traditional grouse: based on what's available on retailers» racks, they seem to think that we ALL spend our summers cavorting at the beach, or a lakeside resort, or anything other than slogging into the office five (or more) days per week.

I tend to be the one who's never dressed appropriately for the weather regardless of where I'd spent the week before on a beach, and the phrase, «You must be FREEZING» is heard about 3 times per day in the winter.

I'm pretty laid back easy going love to have a lot of fun no expectations I work 6 days a week so it's pretty hard to meet people not looking for any kind of drama, enjoy a nice walk out on the beach or even at the Park

Nine weeks later, during a whirlwind Valentine's Day trip to Mexico, Drew proposed to me on the beach.

I went out with a man (a pilot no less) whose profile on match.com said single, etc, and for the 1 1/2 weeks prior to our date, he texted and emailed constantly (he was on a long flight abroad — actually two 6 day stints), giving me his flight schedule for the next two months, telling me all kinds of personal information, sending me photos from his cell phone of what he was doing abroad — on the beach etc..
