I was just commenting yesterday about a stunning
bead board back splash I had seen.
This is how Maya's bookcase looked last week with the coral paint on
the bead board back:
I love the mix of those gorgeous plates hanging on the wall and then the more country
bead board back detail.
I want to add tile around the tub and sinks and
a bead board back splash.
;) Our next step is to install
the bead board backing and open shelving.

It is
backed with
bead board and an oak chair rail with hooks, and a shelf above that.
They turned the floor
boards into
bead board for the ceiling, which they raised
back up to its original height.
However, we have already started with
beaded board on a couple of whole walls and will continue it behind open cabinets and as the
back splash on those walls to, and I do love it and it can be painted as desired which is always nice.
When I placed the PVC
board back on, it sits level with the
bead board frame.
I had always wanted to add
bead board to the walls like we did in our
back hallway, but I wasn't about to start this project until we could afford to do all the updates it needed at once.
And using
bead board on the
back splash (behind which the fish are still peacefully resting) really ties it all together.
We made a paper template of the
back wall, so we could cut a piece of
bead board to fit exactly.
Line the
backs of cabinets with
beaded board or sheets of foam core covered with pretty papers.
Built - in shelves
backed with
beaded board give the room style and functionality.
I just put
bead board paper in an open closet in my
back hallway.
Beaded board on the
back of the open shelving adds interest and subtle texture.
Like I mentioned before, we might use
bead board on the cabinet doors or maybe on the
back splash.
Dark wax was used to highlight the legs and the
back of the
bead board.
We then
backed -LCB- on top of, mind you - oooh scary -RCB- the old tile, with some
bead board for the new backsplash.
