When we built our little house, we had white
bead board cabinets put in throughout.

All that was left was cutting the
bead board to wrap around the
cabinet and sides, finishing off with corner trim.

I have lived a «colorful kitchen» life for 20 + years, so we are changing to a toned down, light tan / gray wall with white
cabinets and
bead board.

cabinets and fooled»em all hahaha!
