I am planning to try black
bean brownies because I've heard they are great.
Normally low fat brownies or fat free brownies are on my list of must haves... kinda like these vegan black
bean brownies because they are light, packed chocolate flavor and full of fiber.

The moment I placed these
brownies in the oven, I started whining like a disgruntled teenager
because Luise had persuaded me to only sweeten them with dates and mix a whole can of black
beans into the batter.
We added some of my wild blueberries and huckleberries as well, and all sampled a black
bean brownie just
because.
I'm sad that I am not at home to print of DIYs and decorate our house but I'll still be celebrating over a feast of Turkey, my grandma's amazing mashed yams, green
beans, beets, roasted parsnip, stuffing (though it isn't my favourite),
brownies (
because I make the most decadent
brownies that appear at every holiday) and of course lots and lots of pies!
I was even thinking about making black
bean brownies this week, but I stopped myself
because, I don't know, is that weird?
And I was really skeptical
because earlier in the year I had tried a different black
bean brownie recipe that the blogger swore by.
I had been using super finely ground coffee
beans in my
brownies in lieu of instant espresso powder but making this recipe I finally see that it is not the same thing, presumably
because the instant powder dissolves.
The night before I made the
brownies with black
beans, but
because I attemtped to experiment with substituting the eggs, the
bean brownies did not turn out right — at all.
And don't even get me started on the suggestion to add black
beans because, guys, black
bean brownies pale in comparison to real deal
brownies.
It was fun to play around with the recipe
because until I made black
bean brownies a couple years ago, I had not tried
brownies without flour.
I use a food processor to make these
brownies because it makes the batter (including the
beans) nice and smooth.
I don't care for pudding (or black
beans in my
brownies) but I'm bookmarking this recipe for warmer days
because pudding (silly autocorrect tried changing pudding to pissing) pops!
Because these vegan black
bean brownies are so rich, we always cut them into smaller slices.
Is it a good idea to hide spinach in a smoothie, black
beans in
brownies, or cauliflower in mac & cheese
because you're getting in extra nutrients and fiber?
Truthfully I haven't considered it with these
brownies because with the
beans and dates I think they're already «healthy» enough, and a little fat probably does wonders for the texture.
You know then, on the few occasions when I have shared things like whole wheat chocolate chip cookies, or
brownies made from
beans, that it is not
because they are healthier versions of their treat analogues, but
because they are damn delicious.
