Our pressure cooker allows us to make
bean stews on a whim — no soaking and thus no planning ahead is required.
You can't catch me without some type of
bean stew on my stove, usually on a Sunday.

bean and tomato
stew recipe is an easy, delicious one pot solution for when you need a quick healthy meal
on the table yesterday.
This particular
stew is based
on a recipe for sambar — a mung dal (yellow split mung
beans that are protein - rich and affordable)
stew that comes in hundreds of variations.
Other sides that we encountered
on the BBQuest included baked
beans, almost always from a can; Brunswick
stew, which must be an acquired taste; coleslaw that was always freshly made; grilled onions, which I liked; and corn sticks, which were shaped like a 2 by 4 and are simply not recommended.
Our main standbys are probably: fagioli all» uccelletto — tuscan
bean / tomato / sage
stew, basically posh
beans on toast, very quick and easy to make from tinned
beans dal - roti - shaak — any simple dal, a spicy vegetable (often roasted cauliflower or stir - fried cabbage) and frozen parathas (which are amazing), with yoghurt and chutney
on the side pasta with some sort of veg plus feta, olive oil and lemon.
I made a few changes to the recipe based
on availability of ingredients, a desire to make the
stew a bit healthier, and a dislike of lima
beans.

beans were in the middle of soaking session and I was planning to make exactly the same dish!
The whole concoction simmers into a tasty little black
bean stew which sits nicely

This earthy
stew of broccoli rabe,
