beans and pulses
and lentils too and hummus!!!
Now that I have a bun recipe I have served them a number of times
and they even satiate the meat eatin Aussies down here: — RRB - I have made a black
bean / red
lentil based adaptation which is IMHP pretty good
too.

Lentils actually cook down a lot more than
beans,
and with the breadcrumbs
and egg added
too, these burgers are quite dense so you might not even notice that they're

There's no need to restrict protein certainly - I eat plenty of
beans and lentils which are high protein
and low - fat (allowed on the Whole Approach), I use chickpea flour a lot
