I like when the
rice is thrown onto the hot hibachi grill
and seems to come alive as it sizzles
and dances around like a bunch of little jumping
beans.
They
seemed so simple,
and the only
rice and beans I had eaten at home were hot
and served in soups or casseroles, or under some creamed meat.

rice and beans seem to taste so much better when served as gallo pinto!
