beans in my hummus, beans in my beanitos, beans in my cookies... BEANS EVERYWHERE!!!
Also, you can actually replace part or all of
the beans in a hummus with cooked vegetables for really interesting — in a good way, I promise!
When roasted, beets become subtly sweet and tender, making them an excellent paleo - friendly substitution for garbanzo

Portland, Oregon grocery stores began stocking Lilly's
hummus, and the demand for this plant - based
bean spread with deeply nuanced flavors and a clean ingredients list, grew to natural foods stores
in neighboring regions.
For some reason, Kasha, although they love most other
beans, they will not tolerate garbanzos unless they are
in hummus or
in falafel.
Another twist on
hummus: I once saw a recipe
in the NY Times Sunday magazine for edamame «
hummus», where soy
beans were substituted for chickpeas and rice vinegar was added.
You use black
beans instead of garbanzo
beans (or chickpeas)
in this
hummus, but it still has many of the same ingredients you would use
in your typical
hummus recipe... like olive oil, garlic, and tahini.
Well, I call this
hummus because it has
beans in it, but it could also be considered a pudding or simply a dip for the matter.
The only way I like chick peas is
in hummus, and I usually make it from dried
beans, so this was the missing link for me!
Since premade
hummus is expensive and tahini is difficult to find here, I imagine I'll be making this often to fill the
bean dip void
in my life.
We enjoyed these

beans, which I made by simply blanching green
beans in boiling water and then water sautéing them
in garlic, lemon juice and Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper Seasoning (my favorite).

After experimenting around with using zucchini to replace garbanzo

hummus, a light bulb went off
in my head.
Listed on the sheet, amongst other things were: 1) eat a big salad at least one time per day, 2) eat at least two fresh fruits each day and 3) eat
beans every day (that's where this
hummus comes
in).
Love
hummus with chick peas, but I've been experimenting with different

You can easily turn this bowl recipe into a vegetarian version (everyone loves a good Buddha bowl) by subbing
in some of your favorite
hummus together with grilled zucchini, eggplant, onions and red pepper
in lieu of the chicken, garbanzo
beans and pickled onions.

hummus, but there's so much more that the tiny garbanzo

I love
beans; I make them

At its core,
