I believe that every situation we are faced with in life should be seen as a
learning opportunity and so I have worked hard to not
beat myself up about
experiences in my life where things might not have gone to plan; rather I try to look for the lesson or the takeout
from each situation, which helps me grow.
Finally, if there is a good reward - based trainer or veterinary behaviorist in your area, it's hard to
beat the
experience you can get
from just watching and
learning — many of these folks will allow you to shadow or assist them, if you ask.
I love traveling on a budget, independently, often solo (but also sometimes with family), responsibly and deeper while exploring and discovering hidden gems off the
beaten path, having meaningful
experiences and unique and authentic adventures,
learning about and immersing myself in the local culture, history and language, staying in unique and alternative accommodations away
from the main tourist areas, navigating and using the public transportation, eating the authentic and traditional cuisine at local or family - owned restaurants, and supporting the local economy by shopping local where possible.
I have yet to break out of prison but just
learning how to work the time system in my favor (I found a way to stay up all night), looting other inmate's cells, getting strong enough to
beat up on people and hiding stuff
from guards was an awesome
experience in its own right.
A business with
experience of hiring interns will allow for your lack of expertise, so don't
beat yourself up when you make a mistake but
learn from them and make sure they're not repeated.
The key is to not
beat yourself up about it, but rather discover what you can
learn from the
experience.
