Whatever issue the company ran into was apparently fixed though,
because AirPods have finally been released.
That's likely
because the AirPods and new Beats headphones still stream audio over the classic Bluetooth profile — that's why they're able to work with non-Apple devices.
From that point you ostensibly never have to look at the main Bluetooth menu again,
because AirPods connect every time you take them out of the case.

because I am really liking Bluetooth headphones, and I have got to admit, I don't have the
AirPods yet, but I think I have got to have them.
Of course, the downside to this is that
because it's a chip that Apple makes, it's only available (as of right now) on Apple - made headphones, like Beats products and the
Airpods.
Where the
Airpods case click into place or flick open, the Air nano case has a bit of give to it mostly
because it slides to open, and uses magnets to click the two sides together.

And it almost goes without saying that, if you're deeply invested in Apple's ecosystem, the
AirPods are among the best out there, if only
because they can intelligently switch between your devices.
Standing up from my desk, turning my head too fast, chewing through a bag of pretzels, touching down on a runway in an airplane — these are all situations where
AirPods popped out of one of my ears
because I wasn't constantly readjusting the fit.
Consumer's are better off investing in the Apple
AirPods, which have solid connectivity
because of Apple's proprietary W1 chip, or the Jaybird Run for audio playback sans white noise.
I don't want to recommend Apple's iPhone for anything audio - related, but I'm forced to
because not everyone will abandon their entry into Apple's walled garden after investing so much into things like the Apple Watch,
AirPods, or HomePod.
And it's a shame,
because despite this problem, there is a lot that I like about
AirPods — enough that I might have gotten over how strange they look.

There's a reason Apple's first generation of
AirPods have that stem, and it's
because it's hard to pick up a voice from an earbud that's in your ear.
But ultimately the
AirPods end up disappointing
because other headphones allow you to control your music more quickly, and more easily.
Apple finally started selling
AirPods on December 13, but
because of limited quantities — and likely very high demand — shipping and delivery dates for the headphones quickly slipped from December 2016 to January 2017 and beyond.
As we mentioned before, the
AirPods and the Pixel Buds are largely aimed at different audiences (and not just
because some people have iPhones while some people have Androids or Pixel 2s).
The downside of a lack of silicon is the fact the
AirPods don't feel secure, but the upside is that
because they're not pressing on the insides of your ear, they feel very comfortable over long listening periods.
Because Apple dropped the headphone jack in the iPhone 7, consumers were forced to either purchase a dongle that plugs into the lighting port or buy the white
AirPods from Apple.
It is remarkable how much better Apple's Siri experience is with
AirPods, in part
because the microphones are much closer to your mouth and, therefore, Siri can more clearly hear and understand you.
Apple has quietly updated the
AirPods to version 3.5.1, which is noteworthy only so much
because it's quite the jump in numbers.
Because, if you'll recall, you don't have any physical music playback controls on the
AirPods themselves.
If you ever wondered why the
AirPods having a hanging boom design similar to the Earpods despite not coming with wires, it's
because they help in improving its reception.
But
AirPods sound just like EarPods
because they're basically EarPods without wires, so what you're getting for your $ 159 is convenience and early adopter status, not necessarily sound quality.
And I'll be honest: I hope that happens,
because then I'm definitely picking up some
AirPods.
I'm not sure about
AirPods because I am convinced I will lose these, even though most of who have used them can not stop raving about the products.
We picked
AirPods as Apple's best product of last year,
because they really do offer a huge upgrade on all previous headphones.
Because they are Bluetooth, you can also connect the
AirPods to non-Apple devices, though then they will work like typical Bluetooth devices, requiring manual pairing, etc..
I want
AirPods that offer me more physical controls,
because in this future where I'm completely untethered from my phone still means I have to pull my phone out to really control music playback, is frustrating.
However, there is a lean towards Apple users
because, just like the new Apple
AirPods wireless in - ears released in September, the Beats Solo 3 also feature the new W1 processor.
It makes perfect sense for Google to come out with its own pair of wireless earbuds
because it serves two things simultaneously: rival Apple's own set of
AirPods while mitigating customers» disappointment toward the lack of a headphone jack on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
And that's a shame
because Siri on the Watch is rivaled only by the upcoming
AirPods for its dictation clarity.

because Apple's new
AirPods are finally available for purchase from Apple's online store.
Don't worry though,
because all three of the
AirPods alternatives we linked above are still in stock.
Sure,
AirPods let you listen to music, take phone calls and tap into Siri, but they represent a missed opportunity
because they don't solve a crucial problem faced by many people in the modern world: hearing what's going on around them.
