because KindleGen 2 promises to convert your books, doesn't mean you should, because the output quality will be dubious at best.

because it can not make decisions like that for you.
When I want to create a mobi file that I can upload to Amazon, I prefer to use eCub or Jutoh,
because you can use Amazon's
kindlegen tool with them.
It is strongly recommended that you use
KindleGen on your EPUB file,
because this will result in the most professional - looking eBook.
