And that's a shame
because breakfast smoothies are so easy to make.

I especially love
smoothies because I can cram a whole lot of good stuff in there without really noticing that I'm having the equivalent of a salad for
breakfast!
Count me crazy but I decided to go pick blueberries again this weekend I still have a dozen ideas of what to cook with them (thinking blueberry galette, blueberry
breakfast smoothie bowls, blueberry sorbet, etc), so I really need more of them now,
because the season is really short.
The banana oatmeal almond
smoothie is a power
breakfast that stands out
because it can be made in a jiffy and without the cups and the measuring spoons.
I probably would still prefer a
smoothie for
breakfast because I can cram more goodness into one
smoothie than I can with these but for something different I'll keep these gems in mind.

because I find myself telling people to eat oatmeal and drink
smoothies for
breakfast since I usually do.
Many people do lose weight when they consume green
breakfast smoothies but that's often
because that
smoothie is replacing some kind of processed food.
Well I can't say I fall into that particular category
because I love, and I mean really LOVE
breakfast, but I do feel rushed in the mornings and always resort to my green
smoothies or green juices.
I did a lot of

because it's way too warm outside to eat a hot

All that fruit also requires quite a bit of prep work and let's be honest, when I'm making a

I've been using chia seeds for some time in

smoothies and puddings but a couple of years ago I read about them being used to thicken jam, so now with an abundance of summer fruits to hand I'm finally giving it a go and really hope the result is fabulous
because I have missed jam!

smoothie, freeze for nice cream, caramelize those coins, batch of banana bread or
breakfast cookies here we come.
Seriously, this is a recipe that you will want to master,
because vegan
breakfast doesn't have to be all
smoothies and oatmeal, it can be whatever you can dream it to be.

I don't make the
smoothie every single morning
because I love to make
breakfast and this girl of mine will eat almost anything - eggs with fresh basil and sausage,
breakfast tacos, a BLT, Brioche french toast, waffle bowls, pasta or leftovers from dinner the night before — pretty much anything — except fruit, yogurt and cereal.
Smoothie bowls make a great

I also do some respite care for kids and when I had some toddlers I put them onto green

10:30 a.m.: I love to look at Kelly Leveque's
smoothie recipes for my
breakfast smoothie inspiration (especially
because she reminds me to not overdo it on the sugar), but usually I just throw in what's in the fridge, alternating between a vanilla - based
smoothie and a chocolate - based
smoothie full of greens, protein, and healthy fats.
Protein is at the top of my list when it comes to creating any meal - from
breakfast to
smoothies to snacks,
because it is literally the most important building block of our body - needed for healthy and vibrant muscle, skin, hair, and nails - not to mention a healthy metabolism that can efficiently burn fat and keep you energized.
A lot of times I skip

Just finished my
breakfast this morning with this
smoothie and
because I have severe arthritis at age 80, I try to add some turmeric and or ginger to most
smoothies, so I added 1/2 teaspoon of both and about 1/2 tablespoon of raw protein powder vanilla flavor.
This creamy green
smoothie is one of my very favorites
because it is nourishing enough to serve as a healthy holiday
breakfast, but tastes so decadent that it could easily work as a festive dessert at a St. Patty's Day party!
I just made them now, using whole chia seeds instead of the ground flaxseed (just
because it's what I had available) and also adding a scant cup of very thick banana and berry
smoothie that was left over from
breakfast (I would normally put some inclusions in pancakes, such as chopped bananas or berries, that was the inclusion for today).
My daughter loves

breakfast because she doesn't have a big appetite first thing in the morning but knows she needs nutrient dense food to keep her mind and body going till lunch.

because my upstairs neighbors decided to have a screaming match around 3 a.m. I make a green

If you're new to the world of blenders go for one that produces great results but looks good with it,
because if you're preparing a
breakfast smoothie each morning the likelihood of it being put away each time is quite remote.
