This is a shock
because looking at the job description, you ARE the qualified candidate.
Not exact matches
Part of the reason for that high «not - qualified» rate is
because when an individual is
looking at a
job opening, even though they report that they spend 10 minutes reviewing in detail each
job which they thought was a «fit» for them, we now know that they spend an average of just 76 seconds (and as little as 50 seconds) reading and assessing a position
description that they apply for (TheLadders).
The moral of the story is not to rule an engineering
job out just
because it doesn't have «mechanical» in the title;
look at the
job description to find out which engineering disciplines are accepted.
I say this
because by
looking through the
job description on the careers page of your website, I keep thinking that my 2 years
at culinary school were preparing me for working
at your restaurant in the capacity of food service assistant.
When your resume lists
job descriptions, you
look average —
because that's the purpose of
job descriptions and responsibilities on resumes... to show you
at your average.
