As a developmental psychologist, I am horrified to see in the
photo that there is a shades -
of - pink Rock - a-Stack, not only
because of the absurdity
of gender - typing toys by color alone, but also
because it cripples the educational potential
of the toy: the reduced contrast between the colors makes the rings harder to tell apart, and the use
of only three colors (bottom ring is purple, center pole is yellow) reduces
opportunities for basic color learning.
I feel pretty happy
because this time I have the
opportunity to take
photos outside
of my house thanks to my friend for the cute
photos for this post.
I'm learning to enjoy the rainy days in San Diego
because I make sure to take advantage
of these amazing
photo opportunities.
The thing about travel photographers is that if you miss the shot, the cost
of going back to that city or back to that country to get that picture is... one
of the reasons you want to take that extra picture is
because somebody is going to be standing in that picture, something is going to be out
of focus, in one
of the
photos that you didn't notice, so one
of the reasons you wan to take more
photos is
because the
opportunity cost
of missing that shot is higher.
Once the profile is visible you don't want to lose an
opportunity provided by keyword optimization
because of an omitted
photo, a poor - quality
photo, or a picture that is unprofessional.
As I've noted in other comments here, each
of us has to decide if NOT having a profile
photo is best for us, and whether to risk losing out on
opportunities because we have no
photo.
