because you identify yourself with self - publishers and for some reason you think that it's one
group where every self - publisher has obviously written a masterpiece and must never be criticized and pointed out?

Readers differs from what you get from a critique
group because Betas generally read your whole manuscript in a week or two rather than over the span of months or years.
Next time we use the Discount Book Man we will aim to promote our book with some other
groups on the very same day, in order to get our book even higher in the rankings,
because when it comes to new
readers, the more the merrier!
Not only is it obviously a very vetted community of
readers,
because that's what it's for, is people sharing their reading experiences, but the
groups there are — no matter what you write, there is a
group there.
Input from your critique
group or beta
readers, while valuable, is limited
because they already know the plot.
It's a shame how much this move feels like it targets romance writers and
readers...
because those two
groups are foundational to this industry.

groups: you'll understand how to advertise on Facebook,
because you'll know what attracts
