I went on to
become an LLL Leader myself and to breastfeed for years, and I did continue to bake cookies!
She was a great influence on me when I was just beginning on the road to
become a LLL leader, and I did like her books a lot.
Initially, she didn't speak any English, and she found a home in La Leche League of Fort Collins, Colorado, where she signed up to
become an LLL Leader without realizing it (language barriers» best outcome ever!).
Thank you, Martha, for breastfeeding your babies... for
becoming a LLL Leader... for coauthoring parenting books that questioned the status quo... and for going on to encourage mothers worldwide to reclaim the wisdom of previous generations in both breastfeeding and parenting in a sensitive, nurturing, gentle, attachment - minded way.

Dr. Mendelsohn was a speaker at our very first International Convention in 1964 and
became a much appreciated part of our
LLL history!
At an

People's view of the «crazy radical ideas» from
LLL shifted as these

After attending

In 2003 I accredited as an
LLL Leader and I
became the reference for
LLL France for mothers who wanted to know about breastfeeding after surgery.
Before
becoming AFC Amy worked in Leader Accreditation for 21 years, served as Director for
LLL Alliance for 10 years, served on
LLL USA Council and Interim Council, serving on the
LLL Breastfeeding Helpline - US Advisory Council, and was a member of the LLLI Global Leaders» Committee.
Like many other parents who have found help through
LLL, he wants to pay that forward by
becoming a volunteer leader.
He corresponded with La Leche League (
LLL) here in Canada about
becoming a leader.
As many of you know, we were special education teachers before we
became mothers, then La Leche League (
LLL) Leaders, students of Attachment Theory and researchers of the childhoods of all kinds of famous and infamous people.
